A little help for your resolutions

IDK what your resolutions are, but I bet this video can help. Watching Snoop and Martha make mashed potatoes gives me some hope for the world and helps me chill. Enjoy:

"Welcome to the real world"

Guess whose 10 year high school reunion is coming up? Everyday I think about, I get more and more convinced that I shouldn't go. Not all of us ended up like John Mayer, alright? (Note: He actually did go to his reunion like he said he would)

As for me, I've got no career, no husband, no car, no kids. Nothing much that I need to report. I've still got 18 days to decide if I'm going, but as for now, I'm leaning towards NO. Someone else want to fill this google survey they sent out to us for me? Any and all suggestions appreciated. Exaggeration encouraged.

    Name

    Where are you currently living?

If you went to college after graduating, where did you go? If you finished, what was your degree in? If you did graduate school, where did you go, what did you study, when did you graduate (or will you graduate) and why did you do that to yourself?

    What is your martial status?

Do you have any children? List their names and ages (and genders if you're into that sort of thing).
List on those that you know of... skip those from that shady weekend in Malibu.

If you are working, where are you currently working?
And feel free to share any cool jobs you've had since walking down the aisle at graduation.

Share something cool you've done that you want to brag about to people you've not seen in 10 years.
Go on, you know you want to.

This is all so exhausting.
Anyone wanna stay home and watch Romy and Michelle with me? I'll only force you to reenact this dance scene a couple times.

Priorities

I'm moving out of Provo in less than a month guys! I have so much to do to prep, I'm really excited. I also just found out that I need to buy a new car within the next 4 months... humph. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. So I'm starting a savings plan and trying to be really responsible BUT ALL I WANT TO DO IS BUY THIS COOL TABLE IT IS PERFECT AND I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR IT ALL MY LIFE:

My precious...
Glossy white lacquer...
Brass tipped feet...
Perfect to hold my turntable, records, and speakers...

And it can be mine for only $2,300!

TWO THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS

Guys, do I even really need a car? Curse you Gwyneth Paltrow and your good taste in furniture. Though I guess if I was going through conscious uncoupling, I would want to buy myself a few nice things too.

Maybe I can just get this gold-leafed hexagonal table instead. It's a third of the price, and very chic. What a steal! Some days I don't want anything to do with money, and some days I just want all the money in the world. quite a conundrum.

Recap Attack: Double bread, Double chins

My last Recap Attack was way back in December, so I have some catching up to do. I thought I had taken a bunch of great pics, but most of them are embarrassing snap chats, like this:

You see? I don't get it, I keep trying to convince all my friends to get snap chat, but they are so resistant. Why? It is the best. It will change your life.

So anyway, here's a little sampling of what I've been up to the past few months:

visited the byu sacred gifts exhibit to commemorate my dad's birthday. it was beautiful.

went on a winter walk with Ingrid when she was in town. can you believe this is just minutes from my house? i live in the best place, so spoiled.

our family received one of the biggest loaves of bread I've ever seen for christmas. giant sized.

yet another reason why you should get snap chat. i'll send you photos like this on the regular.

i'd say this picture speaks for itself...

roommate fun... with glowing baby dino

turning 27 means forcing all your friends to wear pig tails at your spice girls themed birthday party.

broke my phone screen on my birthday...

went to the temple with Laura for her first time. it was lovely.

one of the hidden gems in our old, quirky house.

what my life looks like these days

i've been going on a lot of walks with my dear brother christian

i love seeing succulents in landscaping

"I'm glad you're feeling good, because we're feeling awesome"

You may have noticed, I'm essentially using this blog as a clearinghouse for all the crazy videos I used to have bookmarked. I hope you appreciate it. Here's a gem for you. She is a little crazy, but this video makes me love Celine Dion:

Guys she's in Vegas LET'S GO. I know at least 3 of you who read my blog are going to get married soon. Could you imagine a bachelorette party to see Celine Dion? I WILL GO EVEN THOUGH I HATE THE VEGAS. Do it.

Recap Attack: Rash decision, pretty things, not acting my age, and the death of an onion

Home sweet home

Home Sweet Home

We got Kara a new boyfriend and she was terrified

In case you want to know what to get me for Christmas...
They sell it at Harmon's

Artsy shots in the back yard

We found some treasures going through our old school projects.
Jeremy was a cool dude.

Scored free tickets to In The Heights. It was really great and made me
wish I was a theater kid again. You can listen to some of favorite tracks on
my Nerd Alert Spotify play list. It has all the best picks from
some of my favorite musicals.

I also won tickets to see Surfer Blood play at Urban Lounge
(I win things a lot). It was a weirdo funny show

This bearded fellow set his chair right up on the stage to watch the show
and received the equivalent of a musical lap dance.

Remember when I was on my mission and I wanted to being back Latin music but all the girls were dressed immodestly, so I used a sharpie to give them more clothing? I just found those CDs again
Pumpkins at FHE. Mine is the day of the dead one.

I went to Panguitch for the weekend with some friends. I was camera happy.

We went to this great old movie theater there. It burned down in the 80's, and this is the sign that survived the fire. It has since been reconstructed, and it is neat-o. Seriously, you should visit it sometime.

We made it over to Bryce Canyon National Park. It was beautiful.

Then we took 50 million photos trying to catch a shot that was flattering for each of us.

It was a struggle...

Caitlin, open your eyes!

Too excited... and bunny ears.

This one's my favorite.

I dressed up as a burglar a couple times for Halloween,
but the makeup didn't hold up well during a dance party

So I opted to be Mother Nature on Halloween night instead...

...along with 3 of my roommates! Mothers Nature.

Eight of us squished into a two-door car. Shiny faces from
using eye shadow as lipstick, blush, and pretty much everywhere.

Trying to drive with cardboard Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp can get a bit tricky/crowded.

Will Turner hiding in the bushes outside the house...

We made macarons!

My hair before...

...and my hair after.

Death of an onion. So violent. Rated R

As you can see, I've spent the last few weeks pretending I'm 22. It's pretty nice.
